The act of making a decision is complex because it weigh several different factors. The environment someone lives in can impact decisions, and psychological factors as well. Making decisions can also be used as a dynamical system referred to as dynamic decision making (DDM). Dynamic decision making can be broken up into three parts. The first part is in order to achieve an overall goal a series of actions must be present over time. Secondly, prior actions are not dependent on later decisions. Lastly, since the environment changes rapidly there are consequences associated with earlier actions (Edwards, 1962). Dynamic decision task is primarily concerned with dynamical systems and controlling them over time.
